As an American, as a mother, and as a special educator, I am devastated knowing that there are children in this country who are being poisoned by our government's failure to fix the crumbling infrastructure that has lead to Flint, Michigan's water crisis.

I want the people in Michigan to know that I am willing to fight for them. I am willing to fight for people that I don't know and demand that the children and families in Flint, Michigan - and in every town and city in the United States of America - have clean water to drink and to bathe. The Federal government has known since 2014 that water was poisoning the people, especially children, in Flint and it has failed to act.

We cannot fight for this change by maintaining the status quo. This horrible situation began under the Obama/Biden administration and it has continued through the Trump/Pence administration.

We need a president who puts the interests of the working class above the interests of people and corporations who buy politicians and buy elections. We need the only candidate who believes that we must get big money out of politics. We need Bernie Sanders.

And Michiganders, that means that we also need you. Your state holds tremendous power. WIELD IT. You are SPARTANS and you are WOLVERINES - you can change the course of this country in 2 days - fight for what you deserve!
