Andrew Yang, I like you
I really love Andrew Yang. He's brilliant. Truly. And he has heart. His son has Autism and he's not afraid to talk about how proud he is of him and how important it is that we all accept and nurture neurodiversity. He's just such a great human! And his wife is also so lovely and so brave!
I have been following Andrew since his very first democratic debate, and I want to share a few of his ideas here because I am noticing that other candidates are starting to copy off the super smart Asian kid in class and I find it very disheartening.
If these concepts/ideas speak to you *but it isn’t Andrew Yang you hear speaking them* just know that THIS is the man who brought these issues to light and that he is the one who is deserving of your support. Just a friendly reminder that the original is always better than the remake!

- Universal Basic Income.
- Technological advances in automation are eliminating some of the most common jobs in our economy and displacing worker.
- We need to implement policies to ensure that advances in technology work for and not against the American people.
- Most Americans cannot afford an unexpected $400-$500 bill.
- We need to broaden our definition of what constitutes “work” and the value we place on non-traditional workers, like stay-at-home mothers or caretakers of the elderly.
- We have to change the way we measure Gross Domestic Product and economic success to include measures of health and happiness.
- The whole ‘socialism’ vs. ‘capitalism’ dichotomy is out of date and breaking down; we need to try and take the best of both into the future.
- Retraining manufacturing workers to work in new industries is not showing a real-world benefit for those people.
- The government has not prepared for the dawn of a new machine age.
- Donald Trump became president because he correctly diagnosed the problems in the country but his solutions are, unfortunately, to go backwards when we must go forward.
